Resistance Mutations after Sotrovimab Use Among the first 100 patients who received
sotrovimab, a monoclonal antibody directed against SARS-CoV-2, at a center in Australia, 8
had persistently positive SARS-CoV-2 polymerase-chain-reaction tests. Isolates obtained
from 4 patients showed a mutation associated with resistance to sotrovimab in the receptor-
binding domain, and cultures were positive at 2 to 3 weeks after treatment.
