CD200 is expressed on melanoma. (A) Dendogram of select melanoma-associated transcripts. CD200 expression correlates with other well-established melanoma transcripts (MITF, DCT, SILV, EDNRB). CD200 expression is low or absent in colon and most breast cancers. SKMEL24 human melanoma cell line was used as control. (B) IHC for CD200 was performed on a series of normal skin, nevi, and melanomas (primary and metastatic). Normal skin and melanocytes do not show CD200 expression, while the majority of nevi and melanomas strongly express CD200. Placenta is shown as a positive control; original magnification, ×200.
